Neuro Basis: Memory

Ability to encode, store, retain and subsequently recall information and past experiences in the human brain.

This project is focused in the semantic memory (highlighted in green), which stores all kinds of facts and conceptual knowledge about the world, regardless of context and personal relevance.

Codifies facts as Paris is the capital of France, but not time or circumstance that was learned.

This type of memory is:

The memory is filled with the information provided by sensorial inputs and brain processes such as deduction or logic.

The intensity and duration will depend on factors such as need and importance of such data (our current phone number will be more "accessible" than the name of our first teacher of the school).

Emotion has the role of set the fortress that memories will be stored; Traumatic events (traffic accident, 9/11) or extremely happy experiences (birth of a child, wedding, graduation), will be stored with more relevance than other experiences with lower levels of emotionality.

The memory in the brain is located in:

Computer Emulation

Currently there are a lot of possibilities of storing data in an electronic device, RAM memory, hard disks, DVD, USB pen-drives and even "in the cloud".

Therefore "computer memorization" is probably the easiest part among which this project faces.

Anyway don't forget there are important differences between store data in a brain than into a computer (static, always available without looses, it can be copy it or made a back up).
